Verona next week. World Cup, then the Playoffs in the same hall
The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Western European League is still in Lyon this weekend. The FEI table already has the next indoor: Verona, 5 to 8 November, World Cup class Sunday 8 November at 14:30 local time. Third of 13 WEL legs. An athlete's best seven results count.
Fieracavalli, 27 October, called this the twenty-fifth World Cup in Verona. CSI5*-W, six classes, prize money close to half a million euros. Horse inspection Thursday. Jumping from Friday. Sunday's World Cup is 1.60 m with a jump-off and €250,000, the highest they have put on that class.
Eleven days later the same exhibition centre takes another championship. World of Showjumping carried the LGCT statement on 23 October: the 2026 GC Playoffs move from Riyadh to Verona, 19 to 22 November, at Veronafiere. Federico Bricolo, president of Veronafiere, said the field will jump in the same arena that has just hosted the World Cup, less than two weeks after Fieracavalli closes.
If you build winter indoors, watch that overlap. One hall carries a 1.45 m to 1.60 m World Cup week, then a second elite field on the same going.
Sunday at 1.60 m
The Jumping Verona programme puts the CSI5*-W in Hall 8. Friday 6 November opens with a two-phase around 1.45 m, then a Table A at 1.55 m marked as a Grand Prix qualifier. Saturday has 1.50 m against the clock and a two-round class at 1.55 m. Sunday morning another 1.50 m two-phase, then the World Cup at 14:30, 1.60 m.
The same hall also runs the 128×128 finals, the Italian Champions Tour, a seven-year-old class, and The Pony League from 0.55 m to 1.15 m. Club indoors know that timetable. Distances that ride at 1.60 will bully a pony class. Distances that suit 0.80 look empty at 1.55.
No 2026 course designer is named on the pages opened for this piece. Watch Friday's 1.55 m. That is the first read on how the hall is riding.
Who is already in the book
Fieracavalli's 29 October start-list note has five of the FEI top ten entered, from 19 nations. Richard Vogel, Scott Brash, Ben Maher, Steve Guerdat after the Aachen individual title, plus Daniel Deusser and Sophie Hinners from the German world championship team. Guerdat has three World Cup Final wins (2015, 2016, 2019) and has finished second in this Verona class twice.
FISE, 16 October, named nine Italians for the CSI5-W, with Piergiorgio Bucci among those given a direct Grand Prix start. Fieracavalli later printed twenty Italians on the CSI5-W list. Treat that as a home indoor, not a building note.
Oslo launched the league. Gothenburg hosts the Final, 23 to 28 March 2027, and is not a qualifier this season.
What to take into a UK school
A 1.60 m World Cup related does not belong in a 20 × 40. Write the speed on the plan. Keep the related distances honest for the height that is actually jumping, not the class that ran three hours earlier. When two big shows share one indoor eleven days apart, the line of the hall and the going matter more than a new plank colour.
Open the designer, set the school you actually have, and keep 350 m/min in mind for winter indoors, as the Lyon note already set out from the World Cup rules. Then watch Lyon on Sunday at 15:30. Verona's World Cup is the Sunday after, 14:30.
